Parvin Bayati

Currently, I hold the position of Assistant Research Professor at Penn State University located in State College, PA, USA, where I am a member of Prof. Stewart A. Mallory's group at the Department of Chemistry.

My primary research focus involves studying synthetic and biological active matter through numerical simulation and analytical theory. Specifically, I am interested in developing a theoretical hydrodynamic description for micro-scale active particles. My ongoing projects include investigating the dynamics of self-phoretic micro-motors in complex fluids with the goal of efficiently controlling their motion, simulating the Brownian motion of active particles in confined environments, exploring active droplets as a novel type of soft micro-motors, and manipulating colloids and nano-proteins in micro-channels using phoretic forces.
